I realized the day before we left the hospital that we didn't have any of this formula at home. I quickly ordered this 1-qt jug in the hope that with the first few days home being very frenetic and this jug would work well trying to keep the kids fed.To use this jug, you must keep it refrigerated after you open it and you must use it all within 3 days. It was discovered after the first few days, it was just as convenient to use warmed tap water and mix the powder formula than to have to warm the bottle with the premade formula. We ultimately decided to just keep using the powdered formula for home use and for short car rides (in a insulated cooler bag with a cold pack).
